Apple donuts
Simple, delicious, flexible, and perfect for fussy eaters!
If you have an apple eater, then encouraging mixing foods is always a positive.
Combining foods is a skill we learn so the more we practice it, the easier it gets.
You can also use pears, which may be a good option for stretching an ‘apple eater’ too!
Apples can be paired with sweet or savoury toppings.
Recipe
Cut an apple into rings. Carefully cut a centre hole. Cover with toppings of choice.
Toppings
Yoghurt with raspberry jam. You could also use whipped cream or coconut cream, plus sprinkles, chopped fresh fruit, nuts, seeds or choc chips.
Hummus with cheese. You could also use cream cheese or peanut butter. Toppings could be diced cucumber, carrots, or jam.
Chocolate sauce with coconut. I did a super, simple version with cocoa powder stirred into cream.
