Apple, celery & raisin salad

At first glance this may not look like a win for fussy eaters – and you would be correct in thinking this!

It is my youngest’s favourite salad (inspired by his gran). She would add mayo too but here, generally not.

The reason I’m posting is to challenge you to think outside of the box and come up with salad variations that work for your child. Even better, task them with coming up with ideas!

In the photo there is apple, celery, and raisins. My mother often adds nuts too.

What may work for your child? Apple, carrot, and raisins? Apple, peanuts, and cucumber?

If vegetables are not on the menu yet, it would be great if we could add a tiny amount anyway – if this is okay for our child. It may be apple, raisins and one tiny piece of carrot, for example.
