Roasted carrot strips

Far more fussy eaters are comfortable with raw than cooked carrots.

There are a few ways we can encourage our child to taste different versions.

Roasted carrots are sweeter than boiled carrots so if we are cooking them that can be a plus.

Roasted carrots can be sort of mushy though which is frequently not a win for picky eaters.

What I tend to do is slice the carrots really thinly with a knife and roast until crispy. If we have a child that is texture focused then crunch is probably the key.

If we have a child that is visual then avoiding brown patches may be supportive.

Crispy carrot strips can be a good fussy eater food.

Recipe

Wash and finely slice a carrot into strips (even thickness helps with the cooking process)
Bake on a greased tray at approx. 180˚
Turn when starting to cook one side
Watch carefully so they don’t burn but start to crisp
