Cheese sauce
Dips and sauces can be a great way to bridge between one food and another. Many picky eaters use ketchup, for example, to build comfort for a new food.
Sauces can also be a challenge. Dipping into is generally easier than pouring over.
Cheese is a winner for many fussy eaters, so cheese sauce is worth a whirl.
In the picture I’ve got a simple cheese sauce and options to dip in – carrot, spaghetti, chicken or mince.
Recipe
1/8 cup butter
Dst sp flour
½ cup milk
½ cup cheese
Melt the butter in a small pan. Add the flour and mix until smooth.
Take off the heat and add the milk and stir in.
Put back on the heat, but don’t boil for approx. 5 mins, stirring (I find a whisk works well).
Remove from the heat, add the cheese, and stir until melts.
