Rice paper rolls
I LOVE making these with children. I have done sessions in schools with whole tables set up with everyone filling and wrapping. Even if you have a child who doesn’t eat them yet, they are fun to make.
On the plate is a full-on one with marinated chicken, sliced cucumber and carrot, some coriander leaves, chopped lettuce and rice noodles. If you haven’t made them before, don’t be scared as they are super simple.
There are also very simple (and small) versions with just chicken or noodles. If carbs are a hit but nothing else at the moment, then doing carb-on-carb is a good start.
I’ve also done cheese – there are no rules! – and one with a carrot stick. Starting off simple is always the go.
