Semi-frozen yoghurt
Super-simple, super-flexible, and perfect for fussy eaters who like yoghurt, and possibly even for those who don’t!
I love this as it takes 2 minutes to prepare and can be done in multiple ways to tick boxes for a child. It’s also a good, nutrient dense food.
Recipe
Base
I used muesli, but you could also use crumbled biscuit (which would make it sweeter), crumbled chocolate as more of a dessert, or jam/peanut butter or honey.
Use as much/little as you’d like
Yoghurt
Use your child’s favourite yoghurt.
To make it more like ice cream, mix in fresh cream and a little liquid sweetener like honey or maple syrup
Topping
I used fruit but you could use jam/peanut butter/choc spread/honey, or choc chips/sprinkles or crushed nuts, for example.
Method
Put base ingredients on the bottom of the container (small pots or large ice cube trays work best), top with yoghurt. Freeze for approx. 1 hour (depending on how frozen you’d like it, and how big the container!).
Add toppings.
Serve for breakfast, snack, or dessert
