Candy melon
It’s melon season in NZ and I found this at the markets. It was called ‘sweet melon’, but I think the official term is candy melon.
Either way, I can see how they got their name, as they are super sweet.
You can also eat them while they still have very firm flesh. Which is the reason I’m talking about them today!
For children who love fruit – they are a slam dunk.
For children who love apples – the texture is quite firm, like an apple or a pear, but with an amazing sweetness.
For children new to fruit – they can be cut into tiny pieces and the sweetness, but crunchy texture may be acceptable.
Have you tried these?
