Chocolate brownie
I’m not great at baking. I’m much better at savoury than sweet – and my boys will agree!
I’ve been road testing chocolate brownies as I really wanted one on hand. Ironically one of the healthiest ones I found is the best one. It got the vote of my favourite critiquers!
I’m not advocating hiding things for fussy eaters, but adding nutrient dense ingredients is always a positive.
Recipe
1/3 cup black beans
1 egg
½ avocado
¼ cup melted butter
4 tsp melted honey – (this was quite sweet for me but add more to taste)
¼ cup cocoa
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp vanilla
Put everything in the food processor and combine
Pour into a greased baking tray and bake at 177˚
Cook for approx 20 mins until a stick comes out clean
Leave to cool in pan before removing
