Cheese +

This is less recipe and more food concept!

I saw a recipe for caremelised onions, apple and cheese cooked on pastry and it got me thinking.

I tried sauteed onion, apple and cheese and boy did it work well. But for fussy eaters, I pared it back to apple and cheese.

Apple and cheese works!

I came up with a few options – some super simple – that may be a fit for your family.

Recipe – Cheese +

Options:
Raw apple + cheese on crackers, toast, pastry, favourite bread.
Cooked apple + cheese
Raw apple + melted cheese
Cooked apple + melted cheese
Pick the carb and the textures that will work best.
To cook the apple you can either slice and sautee or slice and cook in a little water in a pan or microwave (microwave takes under a minute)
With the pastry I put the uncooked pastry plus toppings into the oven at 180˚ until cooked and crispy.
