Crispy cheesy sausage wontons

Crunchy, more-ish and a crowd pleaser

The recipe is super simple and super flexible.

Perfect for the children to make

Recipe – Crispy cheesy sausage wontons

(Feel free to add/omit ingredients)
Packet of wonton wrappers (or make your own)
225gm sausage meat (I shredded 3 sausages)
¾ cup grated cheese (I used mild)
½ green onion chopped finely (can omit)
Pepper or other seasoning
Add sauce to suit (ketchup would work!)

Method

Heat oven to 190°
Fry the sausage meat (break into tiny pieces)
Mix the cheese, onion, pepper and sausage meat in a bowl
Place the wonton wrappers on a baking tray (I used a silicon sheet)
Place 1 tsp of the sausage mixture in the centre of each wonton
Wet the edges of the wonton wrapper and fold over
Seal the edges firmly
Brush the outside with oil or butter
Bake in the oven for 9-11 minutes until browning and crispy
Perfect for lunch, dinner or snacks
