Support for challenged eaters.
Pediatric Feeding Disorder
Feeding challenges occur across 4 main areas; Medical, Nutrition, Feeding Skill and Psychosocial.
If you have checked that medical and feeding skills are not a factor, then we may be able to help.
Psychosocial/behavioural support
The Confident Eater focuses on the psychosocial or behavioural aspects of feeding issues for children (aged 2-20). As part of this we also take into account sensory sensitivities and neuromotor development challenges (such as coordination and balance).
Psychosocial/behavioural support
If your child eats a narrow range of foods, refuses family meals, skips whole food groups and/or has anxiety around meals, we can likely help.
Our programmes focus on how you as the parent can effectively support your child at home:
- Create a solid foundation so your language, approach and feeding dynamics around food are supportive (just this alone can be transformative).
- Dive into the psychology behind eating challenges, so understand what’s happening for your child.
- Learn evidence-based strategies for gently adding new foods in fun ways that you can build into your routines.
- Create a plan for each meal with food ideas that are specific to your child and their age and stage.
- With our programmes, you will be confident you are doing the maximum to support your child every day and ensure they can step forward when ready.
We work via Zoom with family friendly hours, including evenings and Saturdays so our service is accessible for busy parents. We also have budget-friendly prices.
Judith, MA Cantab (Cambridge University), MSc Psychology (first-class honours), is currently working on a PhD in psychology where she developed and tested a programme to support parents to be more confident managing meals for their picky eaters. She also has internationally recognised qualifications in nutrition, sensory sensitivities and neuromotor development. Judith works with 100+ families every year resolving fussy eating and returning pleasure and joy to the meal table.
She is also mum to two boys and the author of Creating Confident Eaters and Winner Winner I Eat Dinner. Her dream is that every child is able to approach food from a place of safety and joy, not fear.

Testimonials
We are seeing so much progress with Lukas, it’s just awesome how the change in mindset and how we approach meal times as a family has positively influenced him! Thank you so much.

“Meal times had become a major tantrum time for my 6yo. Always tears and wanting to eat only take away type foods. After chatting to Judith, who really listened to our situation, she came back to me with a few things to try. This was not your usual advice of ‘put it on the plate enough times they might eat it’, or ‘ he’ll grow out of it’. How can they grow out of a bad habit if they are not shown how? …
Judith is AWESOME and meal times are no longer and recipes. Thanks so much Judith.”
