Custard
Many picky eaters love dairy. Custard is often accepted and enjoyed.
I love home-made custard as it’s protein-rich, a good way to introduce eggs for non-egg eater’s and doesn’t have to be particularly sweet.
This recipe is simple to make and can be adapted to suit our child
Recipe
300mls milk (if you like it creamier, swap some for cream)
2 egg yolks
3 tsp sugar (I used coconut sugar)
½ tbs cornflour
Add vanilla for vanilla custard or cocoa powder for choc custard
Heat the milk until just before boiling.
Whisk together the egg yolks, sugar and cornflour in a bowl
Cool the milk and then add to the egg mix and whisk
Clean around the pan and return mixture to the stove
Cook on a low heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened
