Pasta plus!
Many selective eaters are plain pasta all the way. Mixing is a challenge. Or, maybe you have a child that will have pasta but only if it’s specifically mixed with food x and nothing else.
If you look at the first photo, we have the plain pasta but it’s not encouraging our child to think about eating something new.
In photo two I have cheese, mince, chicken and ham. Obviously, I would be recommending serving only one, but it’s good to always be thinking of options.
Serving a second food next to the pasta – not touching, if that’s a challenge – starts to build an association between the pasta and that food.
It also gives a child the opportunity to eat it, should they wish.
