Interview – The Café
I was delighted to be interviewed by Mel Homer from The Café. Unfortunately, they did not have a recording from the day. But, fortunately, we have been able to stream from TV 3 and then video from that (hence the not quite perfect recording quality!).
As Winner Winner I Eat Dinner is arriving this week from the printer, I will be in the studios again to talk about the book and all things picky eating.
Winner Winner I Eat Dinner
If you have a picky eater, your key challenge is probably either your child trying a new food or them tasting it with the intention of adding it to the menu.
Working with over 100 families a year as a Picky Eating Advisor means I know what the challenges are. I also know how to resolve them. Winner Winner was created to overcome those hurdles and get your child eating.
Who is the book for?
– Parents who would love their child to be able to try foods – it doesn’t matter how anxious/ stubborn / sensory sensitive they are, the book has strategies to suit.
– Parents who would love their child to add new foods to the menu.
– Parents wanting simple, proven, strategies for supporting their picky eater to eat more confidently.
Winner Winner I Eat Dinner is based on a unique 7 step program developed here in NZ that WORKS. We have used this for the most selective of eaters – children who eat less than 10 foods – and seen success.
Each chapter is based around one of the 7 steps and builds confidence and competence for you and your child. It truly is a resource not to be missed.
Start now and this holiday season could be a lot easier!

Judith is mum to two boys, a tween and a teen and is the author of Creating Confident Eaters. My dream is that every child is able to approach food from a place of safety and joy, not fear.
I delight in showing parents how to get picky eaters eating in simple, gentle, practical steps that anyone can master. I graduated from Cambridge University and have qualifications in nutrition, parent education and am a trained telephone support worker for ParentHelpline. I am currently doing post graduate studies in Psychology. I would love to understand more of the “why” behind fussy eating and to eventually spearhead research in this area.
